With Secret Wars II firmly behind us we are now looking to the next iteration of the the Secret Wars title. To this end we will be reading an reviewing the Jonathan Hickman run of Secret Wars from 2015

In this episode, the band is back together as Dr. G returns to regular hosting duty on Secret Wars and Beyond. Sean and Dr. G will be covering the New Avengers Vol.1 from 2013 by Jonathan Hickman. This six issue arc, lays the ground work for what will be the continuity redefining Secret Wars from 2015.

Often referred to as "Watchmen before Watchmen", this comic takes a hard look at what would happen if superheroes stopped fighting villains and tried to actually save the world...almost destroying it in the process. 

Special guest Doug Zawisza, author of the Hawkman Companion from TwoMorrows Publishing, joins us for a Nighthawk-focused episode to discuss Captain America 314, a Squadron crossover, and  issue 11 of Squadron Supreme. As we head into the final issue of the mini-series, we discuss Nighthawk as a Batman pastiche, the breaking of Ape-X's mind, and the best Hawkman stories of all time.

The creative team on this book was of Writer: Rob David (& Lloyd Goldfine on issue 1) Artist: Freddie E. Williams II Letterer: Wes Abbott Colorist: Jeremy Colwell & Editor: Kristy Quinn.
